Non playoff teams play for the #1 overall pick. It’s an attempt to keep teams playing all year.

Non playoff teams play for the #1 overall pick. It’s an attempt to keep teams playing all year.
Yeah, I think it's helped keep some non-contending teams a little more active especially towards the end of the season. Important to remember that it is only granted for Pick #1, every round there after the Braves slot in as they would based on record.

On a side note, I can't believe my fantasy baseball luck when it comes to pitching...I've had pitchers down because of bike accidents, at-home accidents, even a sneezing mishap over the years, now...
Lose Edwin Diaz for potentially the whole season over CELEBRATING a non-MLB win, it's crazy! Of course, 5 days after keepers were due too (waste of a keeper spot now)...it's almost comical sometimes.
EDIT: Yup, lost for the season. Waste of a keeper spot.
