I'm good to start earlier.
Also, do we card about the two games in Tokyo? Like the scores from those games, shouldn't have bearing on the season of 162 games. The rest of the MLB is still playing Spring Training games until well after those games. Even if we count the scores, as part of the matchups, who cares really? I mean, there would be like 15 keepers from the Dodgers and Cubs arguably, so it's not like a lot of these players would be eligible anyhow. And if someone wants to reach in the draft for Keke Hernandez because he got 39 points in two games in Tokyo, thinking it will ensure a week one win, well, best of luck 🤷♂️🤣
Starting the draft later, may be around the 16th or 17th might honestly be the cleanest (and latest into Spring Training). We can still aim to run a more condensed draft if we want, even if it's through the week I think people will appreciate that still. Almost everyone in this league knows at least one other person outside of this pool so it is often easy enough to get ahold of someone for a pick.
It's not a perfect solution, but maybe it's our best bet.

It would have to be the 17th. It would also change the draft to about 7 days because I'm not doing 5 minutes between picks during the work week.
If we do this, I'll need everyone to understand that I will have all Dodgers and Cubs in the line-ups unless told otherwise prior to the start of the game. Which means, I'll likely have to make point adjustments for drafted players.

I'm not against the later draft full season starts on 27th, so doing draft on 2nd means 25 days before full season starts is kinda crazy.( minus the tokyo) Especially with spring traing still in full force could definitely impact how people draft. Injuries, sent down, ect. But that's my thoughts. Whatever majority wants im good

What are the scoring start date options? March 18? March 27?
Hockey has this problem lately with some Europe games. Almost all leagues count the points from the start even if the draft happens after those two games. The only small potential issue I can see arising, is an owner claiming he wouldn't have started a pitcher that blows a save or implodes on a start. But generally we rarely have pitchers on the bench that are playing.

I like the draft at 3 days was a good idea. I think we need to not worry about drafting before the toyko games more of spring training gamesbin to see players would be better. Drafting a mth early kind of sucks. What if march 22,23rd and 24 is draft. Season starts march 27 i think so we have 2 day buffer? Just a thought. Either way I'm good just a thought lol.

ESPN does not allow me to not count the Tokyo games, in fact it gives me the following message...
"If your H2H league's draft is completed before the sport season begins, your league's season will start the first week of the sport season. If your league's draft is completed after the beginning of the sport season, your league's season will begin the next full sport week. Your matchups will not be retroactively scored."
So, if we do a later draft then we're forfeiting week one (3/18 - 3/30), which is the Tokyo games and the first four days of the season. Which I'm ok with because a 4 day match-up is kind of BS.
Speaking of, did we want to shorten the season so the championship isn't played during the last week of the season?

100% LOVE the idea of ending the season one week earlier. I wanted propose that as a possible change this year anyways. Come the final week of the season, so many teams are resting starters and skipping pitchers, that a championship shouldn't be determined by bench players and FA adds.
I'd be fine starting the season on the March 31 matchup if required.

Got a couple more payments in, im fine with punting that first week of the season if its beneficiary to everyone being able to draft.
