Well, the first major injury of 2020 belongs to the make believe Blue Jays...Chris Sale scheduled for TJS ☹

Re: 2020 Season

Figured that was coming with the nagging injuries he’s had.

Re: 2020 Season

I’d like to make a proposal...

Since MLB is only going to play 60 games, I think we should scrap this year and just move onto next season. And I’d like to see us keep 15 players for this year only, so that our draft wasn’t a complete waste.

Thoughts?

I am good either way we go, would love to play but tough with only 60 games.

Re: 2020 Season

Yeah, I just think it's gonna be too many problems and questions. I think players are gonna be out more then they would be during a reg. season. Just cause I don't think many of them want to be playing anyways.

Re: 2020 Season

I have been thinking about this as well. I’m thinking of just playing through this season, no payouts then everyone will be paid up next year.

I’m okay with 15 keepers but will listen if there is any objections.

Re: 2020 Season

Maybe I'm in the minority but I feel like baseball without fantasy baseball is hard to imagine.

Such a short season would definitely pose challenges for matchups. But, I was reading on ESPN today that they will be offering a season long scoring option. No matchups, just a running total of points. Which could be an alternative for us. Run points for 8 weeks, top-4 teams make playoffs in the last two weeks.

Maybe we only payout half the winnings too, to make this season more interesting, but also entice people to come back next season as half the entry fee is already paid.

Call me an optimist, but I'm always trying to find a way to make things work then just give up.
