LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

Hopefully here is where some of questions can be answered.

1) How did we begin this league? Well this league has turned into different parts from different sites, but in the beginning, owners came together on the Spawn.com message board. (Spawn Baseball Fantasy League). In 2006, 20 owners came together and selected a real MLB team, then selected 10 guys from that team and we began from there. We have had owners come and go over the last 12 years, but this past off season, we had a huge turnover. That's where the redux part comes in.

2) LEAGUE DUES:    25 dollars to be paid one week before draft begins.

3) PAYOUTS:   First Place:225        Second Place: 125      Third Place 50       Best Season Record: 50

4) TIE BREAKERS:   Head to Head Matchup will be first tie breaker, Points Scored will be next tie breaker. This will apply when it comes to best season record and playoff matchups when necessary.

5) TRADE COMMITTEE:    The trade committee will consist of myself, Andrew (Reds), Dan (Blue Jays), Richard (A's) and Scott (Braves)

6) KEEPERS:  We will keep 10 players every year.

7)PLAYOFFS: 18 teams, 9 each side (winners and loser brackets) best record gets first round bye.

8) FINAL STANDINGS: The first pick of the draft will be determined by the winner of consolation bracket

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

"If you have a player that have recently be upgraded from "O" or "IL" to "DTD", your claims will go through as normal.

Those player(s) can remain in that IL slot and the user can make claims/add players, adjust their lineups as they wish."

https://support.espn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060240712-How-does-the-Injured-List-IL-slots-impact-Waiver-Claims-and-Free-Agent-Acquisitions-

This seems to be players that were considered "O" during spring training, were moved to an IL spot. Then optioned and put on the minor league IL. Since they're not on the major league IL, they're considered "DTD." We're going to follow ESPN's settings on this.

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

Think the ESPN rules have us at unlimited moves and our rules are 110/season.

Which one do we go off of?

We got one team who is very quickly approaching the limit already. So they may be going off of the site rules and not the above?

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

Looks like it hasn't been enforced the last couple of seasons. I'm talking to Todd about how we should proceed.

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

Yeah it's one egregious team and like 5 (?) over the limit a bit. 21/22 and now

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

For consideration for next year then. Here's the transaction totals for increasing the numbers.

2021:
0-89: 13
90-109: 0
110-200: 3
200+: 2

2022
0-89: 9
90-109: 7
110-200: 1
200+: 1

2020 is the weird year

2019 has all 18 teams under 110

Generally everyone is well within the current rules. There are 4 major outliers low and high, being under 20 or 300+.

Re: LEAGUE WELCOME MESSAGE

Email sent out 5/7:

"The league rules state that there is a 110 acquisition limit for the season. This has not be enforced the last couple of seasons. That has been brought to our attention so we've set this year's limit to 200. We will reassess the limit in the offseason."
